| Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, Kenneth Gatewood first showed his artistic talent at the age of six, he drew medical illustrations of the human heart and other internal organs. After graduating from L.A.'s Dorsey High School, Gatewood attended the Otis Parson Art Institute at Los Angeles Trade Tech College. Kenneth Gatewood is perhaps best known for his “baby sports image" artwork. Gatewood is the only artist in the world to be officially licensed with the National Basketball Association, National Football League, National Hockey League, and Major League Baseball. When he's not painting, Gatewood gives back to the community through volunteer work for the Los Angeles Unified School District. |  | |
