| Earl Jackson was born in 1948 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He has been drawing since third grade. After studying at Wastenaw Community College and Eastern Michigan University, Jackson became a full-time picture framer while continuing to draw and paint at night. Jackson had his first public show in 1970 in Ann Arbor. After selling his work at art fairs for the next eight years, Jackson decided to learn black-and-white printmaking. However, he credits his success to the motivation he received from his two trips to Africa in the 1980's. Since that time he has been working as an artist full time. |  | |
