| Sergey Cherepakhin was born in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1969. He began to attend art school
at age eight, eventually gaining entry to the Serovo Art Institute. Encouraged by a friend, Cherep moved to the United States to continue his career.
Cherep's works are vividly painted landscapes, seascapes, and still lifes. He works with oils on canvas and paper, as well as creating silkscreens. He has done extensive charitable work for organizations in the United States and Russia, including work for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
