LaShun Beal

LaShun Beal is best known for the “Universal Woman" figure that he frequently depicts in his work. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, he began his art career as an illustrator for a printing firm in his hometown of Detroit. Beal considers himself to be self-taught, and works primarily with acrylics. His travels to Europe, the Far East, and South America have influenced his work. Some of Beal's work is featured on our Greek Galleries website dedicated to African-American fraternity and sorority artwork. He currently resides outside of Houston, Texas.
